Grapefruit Extract is also known for balancing the scalp’s microbiome. Grapefruit seed extract containing flavonoids possesses antibacterial, antiviral, and antifungal properties. These beneficial actions of GSE have been attributed to the antioxidative activity of grapefruit containing citrous flavonoids such as naringenin.
